Exciting new selection and color of Hyacinth Bean Vine with white flowers on long stems and silvery, shiny, flat 3" pods. Dolichos lablab, commonly called hyacinth bean, is an ornamental tropical twining vine with exotic, slightly fragrant, pea-like blossoms. A fast growing climber, it can easily cover a 20 trellis in a single season. Loves the heat, and when planted in a sunny location, will bloom continuously throughout the summer. Best used as annual vine for covering walls, trellises or fences, and as a privacy vine for porches. Needs a sturdy support structure on which to grow due to the weight of the vine at maturity. No serious insect or disease problems—will even survive Japanese beetles.
