Shipping policy

Seeds & General Merchandise

  • Directly from Burpee
    • Processing: 3–5 business days.
    • Carrier: After processing, shipped via USPS (Standard delivery: typically 3–14 business days).
  • Vendor Direct: Select items ship directly from our partners and may take 3-4 weeks to deliver. Our vendor partner will select the means of shipment.
  • Digital Goods: E-gift cards are typically delivered via email on the day of purchase. Delivery may be held up by spam filters, incorrect email addresses, or internet outages.

Plant Orders

  • Timing: Your order confirmation will show the start date of your three-week shipping window.
  • Carrier: Most plants ship via UPS. A physical street address is required. UPS cannot deliver to PO Boxes.
  • Exceptions: Sweet potatoes and onion plants (not sets) ship via USPS.
  • Split Shipments: Because we fulfill orders from multiple specialized locations, your items may arrive in separate packages at different times.

Important Policies

  • No Modifications: Once an order is processed for shipment or is inside of the shipping window for plant orders, it cannot be canceled, rescheduled, or modified.
  • Tracking: You will receive an automated email with tracking information as soon as your package leaves our facility.
  • Schedule Updates: Our shipping calendar is updated regularly to reflect real-time weather conditions.
  • Vendor Direct: vendor direct orders are handled by our partners and their shipping policy will apply to such orders.

State Shipping Restrictions

Due to Department of Agriculture regulations, we cannot ship certain varieties to specific states. Please check the list below before ordering:
