The most fragrant of the spring-blooming bulbs, Dutch hyacinths sweetly perfume the air in April. The star-shaped florets, densely clustered along the 8-12" flower spikes, make a strong color statement. They are at home in formal beds or in groups of single colors—with early tulips, windflowers or daffodils—at the front of a sunny border. Try them in containers, where you can enjoy their magical scent to the fullest. When cut, spikes can last up to 2 weeks.
