Description
With a tidy, columnar habit, airy seedheads, and glorious fall color, this is our favorite switchgrass cultivar. Displaying wide, blue-green leaves, it’s an excellent background plant to add texture and color to your garden beds. The panicles make great additions to bouquets, add winter interest to the landscape, and provide food for wildlife. An American prairie native, this ornamental grass will stand up to heat, drought, wind, and cold (not to mention deer and other critters), while providing food and shelter for birds and beneficial pollinators.
