
Tender, spicy ‘Siam Queen’ basil leaves bring bold aroma and licorice-like flavor to this dish inspired by Southeast Asian cuisine. Make it with fewer than 10 ingredients!
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, chopped into bite-size pieces
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
- 1 cup green beans, chopped
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- Splash of water (about 2–3 tbsp)
- 1 big handful fresh 'Siam Queen' basil leaves
- Salt to taste
- Cooked rice, for serving (about 2 cups total)
Instructions
- Warm olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add chicken and sauté for 10 minutes until it starts to brown.
- Stir in garlic and green beans. Cook for 5 minutes until fragrant and slightly tender.
- Add oyster sauce, soy sauce, and a splash of water. Sauté 5 minutes more until chicken is cooked through.
- Remove from heat and mix in 'Siam Queen' basil leaves until everything is well coated.
- Season with salt and serve over cooked rice.
