
Keep it simple with garlicky-good stir-fried bok choy or Chinese cabbage. (Browse Burpee’s selection of Asian greens here.)
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 shallots, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, coarsely chopped
- 1 small knob ginger, peeled and diced
- 2 medium heads of Chinese cabbage or bok choy
- 3 tablespoons oyster sauce
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
- Water, as needed
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced shallots, chopped garlic, and diced ginger. Cook for 8-10 minutes until fragrant and softened.
- In a large skillet, shallots, garlic, and ginger in olive oil. Sauté for 8-10 minutes or until fragrant and slightly softened.
- Chop the Chinese cabbage or bok choy and rinse well. Separate the white parts from the leafy greens.
- Add the white parts of the bok choy and a few teaspoons of water to the skillet. Sauté over medium-high heat for 5 minutes until slightly tender.
- Add the leafy green parts and oyster sauce. Continue to sauté until greens are wilted and heated through.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and serve!
