Use an assortment of colorful heirloom tomatoes to make this fresh salsa. Don’t forget to add cilantro from your garden!
Ingredients
- 1 small clove garlic, grated
- ½ small white onion, diced
- 2 cups chopped heirloom tomatoes (use a mix of colors and sizes)
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 handful chopped fresh cilantro
- Juice of ½ lime
- Optional: a dash of your favorite Mexican hot sauce
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the grated garlic, diced onion, chopped tomatoes, salt, cilantro, and lime juice.
- Stir well to combine and adjust seasoning as needed.
- For a spicy kick, add a dash of your favorite Mexican hot sauce.
Tip: To prep your tomatoes, cut the cheeks off first—this makes it easy to scoop out seeds and juices with your finger before chopping.
