
Serve something sweet for breakfast or brunch when company is over – or any weekend!
Ingredients:
- 6 croissants
- ¼ cup golden raisins
- ¼ cup regular raisins
- ½ cup chopped pecans
- 1 pint half and half
- 8 eggs
- ½ cup maple syrup
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Cinnamon and powdered sugar, for serving
Instructions
- Cut croissants in half horizontally and lay the bottoms in a greased baking dish. Sprinkle with raisins and chopped pecans.
- In a medium bowl, beat together half and half, eggs, maple syrup, granulated sugar, vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
- Put the tops on croissants and pour egg mixture over. Let soak for 2 hours or overnight.
- Bake at 350 degrees F, covered with foil for 30 min. Remove foil and bake 20-30 minutes more, or until custard is set.
- Dust with cinnamon and powdered sugar to serve.
