Like a vision from lunar dreamland with dark leaves and deep-violet flowers. New foliage is yellow, progressively darkening to lush, deep-chocolate-brown. Come late summer, raspberry-like buds on dark stems open to rosy-purple flowers. Adapts to sun or shade. An attractive hub for bees and butterflies.
