Just when you thought the cut flower season was ending, try something that gets better and better as the temperatures drop: ornamental kale! ‘Crane Pink’ is a tall variety particularly bred for cut flower arrangements, with vivid pink centers that intensify in color as temperatures cool down. For stronger, straighter stems, provide some support and remove the lower leaves as the kale grows taller. Then pick and enjoy your long-lasting “winter rose” indoors in a vase – but not in a salad! F1 Hybrid An F1 hybrid is created by crossing two different parent plants to combine their best qualities.
