Planting Convallaria pips, or rhizomes, is one of the best ways to cover larger shaded areas. Also known as Lily of the Valley, once these plants are established, they require very little maintenance. They will thrive in shady and moist areas where they can be combined with hellebores, dicentras and Jack-in-the-Pulpits for continuous color. They are lovely, have a slight scent and are deer resistant.
