Long unbeatable for its extravagant blooming and intense purple flowers, this is the first large-flowered modern hybrid clematis. Plants flower on the current years growth and are best pruned in early spring before plants leaf out. One of the best vines, Jackmanii will be a dependable climber of fences, posts and trellises. Very hardy.
