Mercury Rising has spreading, mounded bright green foliage that is covered with velvety wine-red daisies. Petal tips are lightly frosted white, giving a two-tone effect. Plants are well adapted with excellent disease resistance. Plants do not self-seed and reliably overwinter in northern gardens. This is a low maintenance plant that does not need deadheading and is a magnet for butterflies and honeybees.
