Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy with it so far .. I originally purchased this to extend my growing season in the fall. However, when I planted my broccoli we had a sudden two- or three-week spike in outside temperatures in Sep/Oct. It was way too hot for the broccoli but I used the row cover to keep out the sun and was surprised that it worked as well as it did. The plants did not bolt in the heat and the broccoli produced very well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solution for Squash Vine Borer After years of trying all kinds of solutions to get rid of vine borer and get a good crop of cucumbers and zucchini, I invested in floating row cover. I planted my seeds and covered the area with the row cover, staking it down at the corners. As the plants grew, I loosened up the row cover but kept the plants covered. This prevented the vine borer from invading my vines. Once we hit mid July (in upstate NY) I knew I was clear and uncovered my beautiful plants. I can reuse it again next year too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really works! I bought this floating row cover because my vegetable seeds were being eaten by birds and any seedlings were being eaten by ground squirrels and I was desperate! I put the row cover loosely over my newly planted wide rows and rocked it down at the edges every three feet. Presto! No more damage from birds and squirrels! My seeds sprouted and my little plants grew without loss. The cover is so light that it just raises up with the plants as they grow but it also lets in the light and water. It also protected the young plants from a late spring frost. When the plants were about 6-8 inches high I removed the cover from the plants and I ended up with a bumper crop of vegetables. Terrific product. I would have had nothing in my garden without it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Brussel Sprouts protection Although brussel sprouts are a better fall season veggie, I started them very early spring because of the slow growth, but our spring turned to summer too fast, and its been in the 90's for a few weeks now. The sprouts are better now, since the covers are protecting them from the higher temps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Priceless as frost protection and shade! Here's a trick for deeper frosts... wind an old strand of Christmas lights around your plants, then drape the floating row cover over it, and pin down with garden staples. Don't forget to plug the lights in. The Christmas lights give an extra 10 or so degrees of protection, and the row cover holds in the heat. It also lets in sunlight, so there's no need to rush out and uncover your plants, just to cover them again at night. I boosted my tomato production by draping and pinning this fabric over my cages when the weather topped 95 degrees. It shielded my seedlings from direct sun as I hardened them off. And I wrapped it around wire frames to hide the delicious plants from the chickens as they foraged for earwigs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good protection from cold We bought these frost blankets last year to protect our vegetable garden plants from frost in December-January (yes, we do get a hard freeze here in Phoenix!). The blankets worked - for the first time in many years, our bean and tomato plants survived the winter and made it into Spring. The only reason I did not give this product 5 stars is that the blankets are a bit cumbersome to use and we needed to anchor them with bricks because even the slightest breeze will pick them up and carry them off of the plants. Also, if you aren't careful holes can get poked in the blankets. I'm not sure they can survive more than one season - ours didn't. Otherwise, good product. We are buying a couple more this year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easiest Bug Control EVER! I used this years ago and am ordering again! I had a problem with squash bugs eating my squash, cucumbers and melons last year but I don't spray with any chemicals and the soapy water couldn't keep up. This year I'll be ready! This thing really works and lasts a couple of years if I can keep the dogs off of it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from easy to use Very easy to use. I used mainly blankets and plastic covers before using this product. Much more gentle to the plants.
