Lemon Verbena Daiquiri

Lemon Verbena Daiquiri Recipe

Try making an herb simple syrup for this fresh twist on daiquiri. Cheers!

Ingredients

  • Several sprigs of lemon verbena (or herb of choice)
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 5 oz white rum
  • 1 oz fresh squeezed lime juice
  • ¾ oz herb-infused simple syrup
  • Ice (for shaking)
  • Extra herbs and lime slices (for garnish)

Insturctions

  1. In a small pot, combine water, sugar, and a few sprigs of lemon verbena (or your preferred herb). Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let steep for 30 minutes.
  2. Strain out the herbs and refrigerate the syrup (keeps up to one month). When ready to make the daiquiri, add white rum, fresh lime juice, and the herb-infused syrup to a shaker with ice.
  3. Shake well and strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with a sprig of the herb and fresh lime slices.
