Northpole’s narrow columnar trees—1–2 wide and reaching up to 10–12—densely clustered with flowers and fruits, is a dream come true for gardeners. Fruitful flowering beauty adds visual, flavorful, aromatic wallop to a small garden, sunny balcony or container. Natural dwarf produces gorgeous clusters of pure-white flowers followed by great big crops of large, red McIntosh-like apples in late August-September. Fruits are crisp, deliciously sweet, juicy and highly aromatic—great for fresh eating, cider, applesauce and baking. Trees, often fruiting the first year after planting, need a pollinator, so be sure to add a companion apple tree, such as another columnar variety, for best fruit production. Hardy and easy to care for. Resistant to apple scab.
