Taming a large tomato plant is best done with a sturdy, galvanized steel cage. The American-made Pro Series line of tomato cages, used in Burpee’s Fordhook Farm trialing gardens, feature the highest quality steel, welds and powder-coating finish in the industry. The rust resistant 10-gauge (3.5mm) wire frame unfolds to form a stable 14-inch square cage, perfect for even larger varieties like Burpee’s Supersteak, Better Boy or Brandy Boy. Eight 8-inch long prongs anchor both 40- and 48-inch cages. When the gardening season ends, these cages neatly fold flat for easy, compact storage.
