Planter's Paper Mulch Black paper is made from recycled fiber and will raise soil temperature, allow water to penetrate, hold in moisture and suppresses weeds. The biodegradable paper breaks down during the growing season and what's left can be tilled into the soil. 2' x 50' roll.

Very effective product, but priceyMy wife got this product for our vegetable garden, rather than the usual spun fabric material that I have used for many years. This paper mulch has many good points. It does suppress the weeds quite well. It is already breaking down into the soil while still controlling the weeds. However, it is expensive. We used an entire roll in one bed. Our beds are 4' across. The spun fabric material covered the bed in one piece. The paper mulch takes multiple passes which allows weeds to grow between the pieces. I would need to run a third piece down each bed to completely keep the weeds under control. Because it does such a great job with the weeds, it may be worth the price. I don't need to weed as much. With a bad back and hip, there is a lot to be said for that.

not suitable for windy conditionsThough I see how it can keep in moisture and weeds out it is not suitable if your garden is in a breezy location. The paper rips easily off of the staples in even a small breeze. I found it to be very frustrating!

Great productI used the Planter's Paper Mulch last year and was really pleased. It is easy to work with and really kept the weeds out. Best of all it degraded over the season and I tilled the rest in in the fall.
