Terrific performer all summer long with low water needs.
An excellent variety with many uses. Marvelous plants with vigorous trailing habit, dark-green shiny foliage that sparkles under the hot summer sun and is covered with cheerful light-peach blooms with pink eye. This trailing vinca is best used as cascading component in mixed patio planter or as ground cover in landscape bed.
Start indoors in a warm area about 12 weeks before last spring frost. Sow seeds in seed-Starting formula. Cover lightly. Keep seed flats in darkness until first seeds germinate. Seeds are sensitive to overwatering. Keep lightly moist. Move to a well-lighted area when germination Starts.
How to Grow
Seedlings emerge in 14-21 days at 75-78°F. Transplant to individual containers when large enough to handle. Before transfer to garden, move to a sheltered place outside for a week. SET PLANTS 8-10" apart in a sunny to partially shaded location with average soil in spring after danger of frost. In South and other mild areas, set outside fall to spring.
Vinca is a reliable plant for beds and borders in full sun or partial shade. Because of its uniform growth and compact size, it makes an ideal edging or annual groundcover. Vinca is also great for window boxes and other containers. The pastel pink shades contrast beautifully with deep blues and purples.
