How to Sow Sprouting Seeds

  • Spread the sprouting seeds evenly in a sprouter, or you can use a shallow container filled with good quality, sterile soil. When using a sprouter, soil is not necessary. Follow the directions on the sprouter.
  • No need to plant and cover seeds, allow them  to sit on top of soil.
  • Keep moist by rinsing once or twice per day but do not allow to stand in water.
  • Keep in a warm (70 degrees F), dark place until the seed spouts.
  • Seeds sprout in 5-7 days.

Sprout Seed, Broccoli is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Quality! They are very easy to germinate and you get a very high rate of germination. Pro tip: if you're going to put them in your smoothies freeze your broccoli sprouts, it bursts the cells releasing the most sulphurophane.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for sprouting Reasonable sprouting percentage. But I have found organic elsewhere and since one ends up eating some of the unsprouted seeds, I prefer organic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great fresh seeds 85% germination Seed lives up to claim of about 85% germination. Rinse daily & rinse-out/skim husks before storing in refrig b/c that part gets moldy first.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sproutastic! I have been craving sprouts for years but can never find them in our town. I had never tried broccoli sprouts but figured I'd give them a shot. I'm hooked! They are so fun (and fast!) to grow and even better to eat. Slightly spicy with a hint of broccoli flavor. Add crunch to almost anything. I got a good quantity of seeds that will grow me tons of delicious broccoli sprouts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Bargain This is a great deal on broccoli sprouting seed, it grows and tastes just like the seed I was paying $30.00 a pound for on the sprouting sites. I'll stick with burpee and save my self a bunch of cash, thank you! You can grow this on a budget with a clean jar, some cheese cloth, and a rubber band. Soak a couple table spoons of seed in clean water over night then rinse and drain twice a day. Sprouts will be ready to eat in about 6 days. Drain and rinse well are the best tips for a successful crop. If you are on the fence, I say go for it, try a 1/4 lb - you'll be back for more soon.
