Rated 5 out of 5 by from Performed well for me. Planted according to directions in early fall. The plants grew a few inches before winter and over-wintered well. Come spring it took off and filled my beds with a thick lush green 3-4 feet tall carpet. I cut it back in early spring to prepare my beds, so it didn't get as tall as Burpee's photo, but who cares, it performed as promised. Don't know what problem the others are having; I've used this two years in a row and it works as promised - germination rate is about 75-80%, an acceptable percentage for the price.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The Jury is Still Out I planted the Winter Rye in October. I am in MA. The grass started growing quickly. It is only 1/3 as tall as your beautiful picture. I would send a picture but, it is fully covered with snow now. I am dissapointed. Maybe it will grow more in March. I do not wnt to rate it yet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't grow :( I bought several packets and not one of them grew. I sowed it according to the burpee video, followed it exactly like they showed and explained and nothing grew. Disappointed...
