Fall cover crop specially blended for warm climate winters.
This organic cover crop will be very successful in warmer climates, containing 70% winter grain rye and 30% field (Austrian) winter pea. The mix is a balance of rapidly growing winter rye for erosion control and weed suppression plus Austrian winter pea for nitrogen fixation and aesthetic color during the winter. Packet will cover 300 to 400 square feet.

Great CoverageI've used this product for three years in a row. First two years, seed took off immediately and covered. Third year I was worried as it turned dry just as I planted. It was a month before cover crop took off but it waited for right conditions and then took off. I'll continue to use it hoping to improve my organic soil content. It will be years before I get my soil conditioned (working with clay and poor conditions) so I'll be ordering this product year after year.

Not this year ....Have used this product in the past with excellent results. Believed that would happen again this year, but no way. The pea germinated well and looks great, but less than one percent of the rye germinated. It has been 20 days since sowing with watering every day. A big disappointment after typical Burpee product results in the last two years.
