A versatile shade-loving plant that offers visual interest throughout the seasons. Also known as Soloman’s Seal, these plants have graceful, arching stems that emerge from the ground in early spring and are covered with carefully-arranged oval leaves with bright white edges. In late spring, fragrant white flowers hang down, and gradually turn into dark blue berries in the fall. The leaves also provide gorgeous yellow fall color. Plants spread slowly by rhizomes and will form a nice colony in shaded woodlands where other ornamentals struggle to grow.
