Spring and fall color with incredible fragrance.
This mixture provides a wide range of colors that appear in early spring, filling the air with their delightful wallflower fragrance. Plants will over-summer, then as cool weather arrives in fall, produce an abundance of flowers through winter and into following spring, very pansy/viola like.

Hardy, pretty perennial, until bad winter...Started these pretty perennials from seed indoors two years ago (Spring 2012) and had terrific luck getting a nice patch of them going in a particularly tough part of our terraced garden (full sun, not a ton of water) here in Louisville. They flower for a long period of time, have a nice scent, spread well and don't get too tall. Ours were mostly yellow. Their first winter (2012-2013) they did quite well over what was a fairly mild season - staying mostly green and flourishing again in the spring and summer, when they spread even further. This winter was quite brutal, with subzero temps and lots of snow, and I'm afraid they've been mostly done in. We could not protect them. They turned an all-over straw color down to the root, with essentially no signs of life. Sad to say we lost a lot of plants this winter, not just these.

DisapointmentI purchased 24 Wallflowewr plants, planted them according to instructions and 2 months later i have one survivor that is only 2 inches high and struggling. I have had good luck with other plants and seeds from burpee, but this product was a nearly complete disappointment.
