Butterfly Bush Seeds and Plants
Butterfly bushes are low maintenance plants that tolerate heat and drought. Fast-growing, with prolific flowers, large varieties are great for the back of your garden border, while compact varieties may even be planted in containers. And the blooms attract butterflies galore! To provide the most benefit to butterflies, pair butterfly bushes with native wildflower species that provide habitat for them, such as milkweed or Joe Pye weed. A light pruning in midsummer helps keep plants small and encourages rebloom until fall.
