Excellent Pics and Text frm Swifttab in TN "Cursed
I have finally broken my winter malaise by reading all the amazing advice, details, pictures and plans from Swiftab. At age 73, gardening has become somewhat difficult for me. I spent the winter "hibernating" in my flannel pjs, determined that I was not going to read any gardening catalogs and I would not create another garden this year.
Whoa! I broke down when Burpee sent me an e-mail announcing a 25% off sitewide and started reading on-line. When I came upon all of the folks who kindly took the time to write and send photos about their work with the Pro Series Aluminum Corners, I became interested. After reading the generous text, pictures, and plans from Swiftab. I simply had to go order them and follow his directions.
I'm alive again... woke up from a long winter's nap. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!!

Curse Update
I set by bed up this morning. I found that 1" pipe (steel or plastic) works great as corner stakes. Added some peat and back to the store for soil and compost.

This is my curse, (I am a toolmaker)
I bought the Corners to build 4' x 8' a raised bed. I also bought the Small Animal Fence to install on top. Let me stop here and state that these items were not advertised to go together so I knew I was on my own to make everything work out.
The corners - Extruded aluminum, Nice quality. Comes with caps but no stakes. Inside diameter of the hole is 1.350" so I am looking around for something to make stakes out of. I want to add the Animal Fence so bought a set of corners to use in the middle of the 8' sides. The way these corners work, they fold 90 degrees toward the screw holes so the center corners will flex outward but not inward, (they are sold as corners so what did I expect). I will definitely need to stake these center corner attachments.
To add the Animal Fence, stainless tubes are cut to have the centerlines of the tubes at 48.5". I started to measure the Corners and found that from centerline to one side was 1.125" and the other side was 1.250". If you are using a hand saw to cut your wood, you can stop reading now. I bought $150 in redwood for this bed so I am going in with a plan before the sawdust starts to fly.
Also, the Animal Fence comes with stakes but are not long enough to go all the way thru the "Double Height" Corners. Also these stakes are about 1.5" so I had to turn them down to 1.345" so they would slide into the tubes. I will cut the bottom portion off so I can add a stake into the ground to keep everything square.
Bottom line - Good stuff that can be adapted to a great project.

Love these corners
I used these in my six original raised beds for over five years. I love them. I ended up installing two more beds last year and did not want to us any other corners. They are strong and great quality.

Not all Hardware included
Looks good, but double height was supplied with single height quantity of screws. For $34 a pair, I should not have to run out to the hardware store mid-project.
