Planters Paper Mulch 2' X 50' is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from turns rain water purple like grape kool-aid, rips I wish I would have listened to the other negative reviews. Do not buy this paper for a garden or if there is any wind at all. The paper went down easily, it was clear though that the staples suggested would easily rip through the paper as it got wet. I cut squares of cardboard to increase the surface area and then pushed the staples through. When it rained, the paper ripped up in multiple spots (luckily not damaging any plants). The garden is raised and the direct is recessed, so I didn't think it would be windy enough to cause any issues, but clearly I was wrong. The rain is when I noticed the purple water puddling into spots. We put a piece into a glass cup and it turned it darker than grape kool-aid within an hour. I would not recommend this for any kind of garden area, given the dye.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well Use this for my raised beds. Perfect size to lay between tomato rows. I cut slits in paper to fit around plants. I lay leftover stakes on it to it hold down. Disintegrates by the end of the season, which is fine, since it has done its job by then. I saw one roll in half before unrolling, to get two, 1' wide rolls for edge of beds.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very effective product, but pricey My wife got this product for our vegetable garden, rather than the usual spun fabric material that I have used for many years. This paper mulch has many good points. It does suppress the weeds quite well. It is already breaking down into the soil while still controlling the weeds. However, it is expensive. We used an entire roll in one bed. Our beds are 4' across. The spun fabric material covered the bed in one piece. The paper mulch takes multiple passes which allows weeds to grow between the pieces. I would need to run a third piece down each bed to completely keep the weeds under control. Because it does such a great job with the weeds, it may be worth the price. I don't need to weed as much. With a bad back and hip, there is a lot to be said for that.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from not suitable for windy conditions Though I see how it can keep in moisture and weeds out it is not suitable if your garden is in a breezy location. The paper rips easily off of the staples in even a small breeze. I found it to be very frustrating!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I used the Planter's Paper Mulch last year and was really pleased. It is easy to work with and really kept the weeds out. Best of all it degraded over the season and I tilled the rest in in the fall.
