Compost Wizard Dual Tumbler

Short Description

The next generation of composting is here!

Full Description

The Compost Wizard Dual Tumbler combines some of the greatest features in our tumblers to create a compact tumbler that does it all. With compost tumblers, users are restricted to working with one batch at a time. The Dual Tumbler overcomes this drawback by supporting two batches running simultaneously. Each 25 gallon chamber is separated and can compost independently. Also on the Dual Tumbler is a compost tea collecting base which collects excess composting liquid for later use on plant root and soil. Manufactured using recycled Polyethylene in Lake City, Pennsylvania. This plastic is BPA free and FDA approved for contact with edibles. Setting up the composter is easy; Simply place the composter in a mostly sunny spot (partial shade in hotter climates) and you're done. The composter comes fully assembled. Please allow 14 business days for delivery!

Compost Wizard Dual Tumbler is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from NOT SO HAPPY! I bought this composter about a year ago. It composts well enough, that is not the issue. It is heavy to turn as the tumblers fill up but it is manageable (as identified by another reviewer.) I do not like how one empties the compost from the tumbler when finished. There is no easy / neat ( read as - messy) way to do it. You can dig it out - that is not acceptable to me, or you can turn the tumbler upside down and let the compost spill out (It can only spill out partially though since there is little space between the tumbler bins and the tea catcher). Ultimately, I remove the tumbler and then painfully try to dump out the compost. It is a heavy, dirty process. One solution is to provide a screw on and off mechanism for the side plates. That would still be messy but would eliminate the heavy lifting. If someone knows of a better way t do it, I and other readers would be interested to know. Given the current configuration and no better way to proceed, I would not buy the unit again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Efficient, solid compost unit We purchased a few months ago and have already pulled compost from one side. The two part unit and tumbling really hastens the compost process. Even when full and heavy, it spins well. Just the right size too.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Late delivery, no updates, top heavy Late shipment for something in stock-8 days-had to complain to get shipment; unit arrived OK but turned out to be Bottom Heavy- when not held in place the loading holes roll to the bottom therefore requiring 2 people to load, one to hold, one to fill. Added compost weight helped to solve that problem, the unit started to hold in place for more filling. The instructions are very vague-there is no indication of HOW LONG the average composting process should take with this unit compared to other "manual" composting processes.... Having said that I have recently successfully loaded both sides of the unit and started the composting process. It is heavy to turn, but manageable. When loaded the screw cap lids scrape on the bottom of the unit as they pass through. When filling the unit for the first time the water leaks out from the compost tea collector prematurely BUT when collected and recycled and reused becomes Takusan Mui Daijobie other garden plant feeder water. I will enter more when my first batch of compost finishes....BUT overall I am glad I have the unit and am hopeful for the results it promises, so far. If not-well, then I will go back to the (less expensive) old way. Best I can do is give it a 3 so far...
