Short Description

Beautiful deep maroon-red gooseberries with an amazingly sweet flavor to grace your summer pies, crumbles, and jams.

Full Description

Outstanding new cultivar produces crazy-big yields—about 3 lbs. per plant—of sweet, dark-red berries. Ripening late, between mid- and late July, ‘Jeanne’s dessert-ready berries are larger than most red fruits, weighing in at 5 grams. Spreading 5' high and 5' wide, plants demonstrate effective disease resistance: to powdery mildew, white pine blister rust and a range of pests; a good selection for organic gardens.

Gooseberry, Jeanne is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from small but strong i recieved my gooseberry about 3 weeks ago and just as anouther has pointed out it arrived rather small. But man is it a tough guy. Before i could get him set up properly he has already been in a pot that flooded twice and in hard wind yet he is getting bigger everyday, now that i have fixed the flood issue of course.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Small I got my plant yesterday. It looks healthy but very small. Probably 2 inches tall. I will try to keep it alive but I am skeptical. I have ordered many gooseberry bushes from various vendors over the years and have never received such a small plant.
