Apple, Columnar, Golden Sentinel™

Short Description

Columnar Golden Sentinel™ is a pillar of snow-white flowers followed by clusters of large, juicy, golden-yellow fruit.

Full Description

Delight at first sight. In spring, columnar ‘Golden Sentinel™’ becomes a shimmering pillar of snow-white flowers and dark-green foliage. Flower display is the prelude to clusters of large, juicy, golden-yellow fruit that ripen around mid-September—making for four months of blooms and luscious fruits. Sweet, firm and delicious, ‘Golden Sentinel™’ apples make for fine fresh eating, for cider or applesauce, or starring in cakes, pies and muffins. Vertical, narrow trees, loaded with fruit, are perfect for patio containers or smaller gardens. Naturally dwarf trees, growing to only 8–12' when mature, often yield fruit the year after planting. Partner with a companion apple tree, such as another columnar variety, for cross-pollination and more robust fruiting. Good disease resistance.

Apple, Columnar, Golden Sentinel™ is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Little Apple Tree Tree arrived quickly, healthy, and packaged very well. Probably the best packing from any online seller I've purchased from. Only have had the tree for about 20 days and its growing fast and strong. Tree is thick and straight. Can't wait to buy more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thick trees! I placed an order for 2 apple trees in December of 2018. When the trees arrived in the spring I was overly excited to get them in the mail. The trees were well packaged and in great shape, and to my delight both of the tree trunks were thick and sturdy! The trees are still dormant but I will be planting these babies tomorrow. Thank you Burpee!
