Fordhook Farm is where we breed and trial plants in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Purchased by founder W. Atlee Burpee in 1888, the historic property isn't always open to the public, and we can't wait to show you around.
The Burpee Open dates back to the 1800’s! It was an annual tradition to open the grounds of Fordhook Farm to the public for a “Farmer’s Picnic.” It is said that more than 500 guests came from the surrounding towns and villages in Bucks County, PA to explore the farm and meet the Burpee master gardeners.
Join us for the 2024 Annual Burpee Open at Fordhook Farm! Mark your calendar for a free, fun-filled day full of inspiration (we've updated the gardens!), special speakers and so much more.
