Pumpkin Bread

A fall classic. Bake slices of pumpkin perfection with a little sugar and spice.




1½ cups flour

1 tsp baking soda

½ tsp salt

½ tsp nutmeg

½ tsp cinnamon

½ tsp ground ginger

¼ cup butter, melted and cooled

1½ cups sugar

1 cup pumpkin puree

¼ cup olive oil

2 large eggs




  1. Combine flour, baking soda, salt, nutmeg, cinnamon and ground ginger.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together melted and cooled butter, sugar, pumpkin puree, olive oil and eggs.
  3. Combine wet and dry ingredients and pour into a greased loaf pan. Sprinkle with a little turbinado sugar and bake at 350 degrees F for about 1 hour or until a cake tester comes out clean. Let cool completely before slicing.
