Mummy Meatballs

Mix a tasty ground turkey base, slice strips of prepared puff pastry, and then wrap up this frightening appetizer delight for your Halloween party!

 

Ingredients:

 

½ lb ground turkey

½ tsp salt and pepper

3 Tbs diced onion

½ tsp dried oregano

½ tsp garlic powder

1 beaten egg

1 cup whole wheat panko

¼ cup ricotta

¼ cup shredded parm

Prepared puff pastry

Yellow mustard for garnish

 

Recipe:

 

  1. Combine ground turkey, salt and pepper, diced onion, dried oregano, garlic powder, beaten egg, whole wheat panko, ricotta and shredded parm; mix well.
  2. Roll into 2 Tbs size balls and place on a baking sheet.
  3. Slice defrosted puff pastry into thin strips and wrap around each meatball in a mummy wrapping pattern.
  4. Put back on sheet tray and bake at 425 degrees F for 30 minutes or until pastry is golden.
  5. Garnish with yellow mustard eye.
