Fried Shallots

Fried Shallots

Great on green bean casserole, mac ‘n cheese or sandwiches and salads!

 

Recipe:

 

  1. Peel and thinly slice shallots. Add to a skillet in a thin layer and just cover with vegetable or olive oil.
  2. Simmer over medium heat and stir occasionally while bubbly and browning. Let fry until evenly brown, about 15 minutes.
  3. Drain on paper towels and lightly season with salt. Sprinkle as a garnish on everything or just nibble out of the bowl!
