Great on green bean casserole, mac ‘n cheese or sandwiches and salads!
- Peel and thinly slice shallots. Add to a skillet in a thin layer and just cover with vegetable or olive oil.
- Simmer over medium heat and stir occasionally while bubbly and browning. Let fry until evenly brown, about 15 minutes.
- Drain on paper towels and lightly season with salt. Sprinkle as a garnish on everything or just nibble out of the bowl!
