Caramel Apple Pie

Try your hand at a lattice or double crust to make this baked dessert extra special!




5 apples (peeled, cored and sliced)

¼ cup granulated sugar

Juice of ½ lemon

1 tsp cinnamon

Pie crust of choice

Caramel sauce


Cooking spray

Turbinado sugar for topping




  1. Combine thinly sliced apples, granulated sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon in a bowl and toss well.
  2. Arrange your favorite store-bought pie crust in a pie tin, layer half the apples and add several dollops of store-bought caramel sauce and a little sprinkle of flaky salt. Repeat with remaining apples, more caramel and more salt.
  3. Make a lattice or double crust. Spray the crust with cooking spray and sprinkle with turbinado sugar, plus more flaky salt.
  4. Bake at 400 degrees F for 1-1½ hours or until apples are tender and crust is golden brown.
