Blueberry Basil Jam

With just a handful of ingredients, you can make fresh and flavorful blueberry jam – great over vanilla ice cream or stirred into yogurt.




1 lb blueberries

½ cup sugar

¼ cup water

1 lemon (juice and zest)

10 large basil leaves




  1. Combine blueberries, sugar, water, and lemon juice and zest in a pot and stir.
  2. Wrap basil leaves in cheesecloth and add. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer for 20-30 minutes or until thickened.
  3. Let cool before removing cheesecloth. Refrigerate for up to 1 month.
