Eat your apples for dessert! Sweeten your harvest with a simple cinnamon-spiced oat crumble.
1 cup oats or granola
3 Tbs brown sugar
4 Tbs unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
1 tsp ground cinnamon
5-6 small to medium apples
Vanilla ice cream, for serving
- In a small bowl, work together oats or granola, brown sugar, unsalted butter pieces and ground cinnamon between your fingers until combined and butter is crumbly.
- Cut apples in half, then use a melon baller to scoop out the core plus a little extra. Divide butter oat mixture between apples to fill.
- Place apples in a skillet or baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees F for 35-45 minutes or until bubbly and apples are tender. Serve immediately with vanilla ice cream.
