How to Sow Microgreens
To start indoors, sow in trays filled with seed starting formula. Sow evenly and thinly in
rows 2" apart. Cover firmly and keep evenly moist. Place containers in a south facing window or under grow lights until seedlings emerge. For hardy, cool weather greens, sow seed outdoors as soon as the ground can be worked in spring. Broadcast seed on the surface of prepared beds and
rake in before watering or sow thinly 1/4" deep in rows 6-8" apart. To start tender, hot weather
greens outdoors, sow after danger of frost.
How to Grow Microgreens
Thinning is not necessary for microgreens. Easy and fast to grow, keep plants clean of soil
and dirt.
Harvesting Microgreens
Harvest small seedlings when between the size of a sprout and a baby leaf vegetable, usually
when there are just 2-3 true leaves. Clip young leaves at the base of seedlings around 2 " high
with clean scissors. Rinse thoroughly and lightly pat dry before consumption
