We bred this squash to yield a bounty of smooth, tender, golden yellow fruits. Pick them when they're 4-6" long. Sweet Zuke: All zucchini were not created equal! In fact, we think this Burpee zucchini is one of the best. Sweet Zukes's flavor is tasty cooked or fresh. Sweet Gourmet: A Lebanese variety perfected to thrive here. Harvested 6" long, it has a mildly sweet flavor. Longer fruits, cut lengty-wise and stuffed, are very tasty. Compact, disease tolerant plants often yield 50-70% more fruits than zucchini. Squash will regrow a new fruit for each one picked, for several yields a season. Needs only basic soil, water and sunshine to thrive. Sumer squash are most flavorful when small, just after the blooms drop. All our summer squash are bush types, easily grown in either hills or rows.
