This medium to dark green leafed lettuce is actually a romaine-with the texture of a butterhead. Vigorous plants produce giant-16" long by 6" wide-heads quickly. A real gem of the garden. The harvest begins about 70 days after planting. Leaves may be picked younger if desired.

Grow in full sun to partial shade in average, well-drained soil. Sow seed directly in garden after the chance of heavy frost has passed. Cool season plants, they can tolerate a light frost.
