Keep evenly moist.How to GrowSeedlings emerge in 18-28 days at 70-75°F. Before transfer to garden, accustom to conditions by moving to a sheltered place outside for a week. SET PLANTS 12" apart in a semi to fully shaded area with average soil after all danger of frost.HarvestingImpatiens make beautiful temporary groundcovers in shade gardens. They also can be planted among shade-loving perennials such as hostas to bring summer-long color to shady flower beds. Plant them in large drifts and let them fill in, or use them as edging plants along walkways, terraces, or at the front of a bed or border. Impatiens even make nice additions to container plantings.
