Growing Information

How to Sow

Start ageratum seeds indoors in a warm, well-lighted area 6-8 weeks before last frost in spring. Sow into seed Starting formula and keep evenly moist.

How to Grow

THIN to stand 8-12" apart when seedlings are 2" high. Mulch to retain moisture, and cut stalks to the ground at the end of the growing season. Cut back ageratum plants to reduce flopping and encourage more blooms.

Harvesting

Plant ageratums in butterfly gardens, beds, borders and small wildflower gardens. Ageratum flowers make beautiful fresh or dried bouquets.
