This native of Mexico is a lovely twining climber and will produce a profusion of colorful 1-3/4" flowers in open, sunny conditions. When grown as an annual in cold areas of the country it will reach a height of 4-6' in a single season. In frost-free areas it can be grown as a short-lived perennial (3-4 years) and will grow 10-13' tall after the first season. Can be grown in a hanging basket or in a frost-free greenhouse as well as in the flower garden. A great way to decorate a pergola or arch.
