Lilac, Bloomerang Dark Purple PPAF is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Healthy, "Happy" Lilacs! I planted the Lilacs at the beginning of the season, and they're growing up slowly, but multiplying they're deep, dark green leaves at a good clip! I'm very happy with these young, healthy Lilac plants.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Must like the spot planted I got three last year. Planted each one in a different location around the patio. The one that did the best is the one in full sun in a large planter. It is now two feet around (I've been pruning all of them to get them to fill in and keep a nice shape) and it is about to have many multiple blooms. That one is just beautiful. The next best is about a foot round and is in partial sun by house foundation no blooms on this one. The third is only about six inches around and is in full sun in an open garden. No blooms on that one either. I am going to replant the puny one into a planter on the southern side of the house and see if it likes it. I cant wait for the blooms to open. In all fairness to the others the one in the planter gets the most fussed over (water, fed more, pruned more, etc) because its right in the middle of the patio. Conclusion, this plant likes attention and is fussy about location. I think it will be worth it. I would buy more if I had correct spots to put them. I will give it another star if when those blooms open it smells as nice as I'm hoping.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to plant I purchased three of these plants two years ago and two of them are still going strong. The third one made it through the first Colorado winter but did not survive a couple of late frosts. I agree with the other reviewers that the plants are small and will take some time to get larger. But both are blooming this year. And for me, the advantage to a small plant was digging holes in the clay soil to plant them in the first place. Larger plants are nearly impossible for me to plant on my own without borrowed muscle.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from undecided I bought 3 plants in spring. I was surprised how small they where upon arrival. 2 of the 3 plants seem to be doing ok. The 3rd is just surviving. Hope they survive the winter and show some color next year.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I love lilacs I bought 3 bushes back in May 2016. There was a discount special or free shipping, I can't remember which. The plants took about 3-4 weeks to receive, even though I ordered it when my zone was in shipping ready. The plants I ordered did not have measurements on the website when I ordered them, so I wasn't sure what size they would be. When I received them, they were only about 3-4 inches high, much smaller than I thought they would be. They were packaged wonderfully and since planting them and having them grow for 3 months, they do look beautiful still and one of the plants actually flowered!! I do wish the plants were bigger because I think it will be years before they really if you can wait years for them to grow, its a great investment. Otherwise I'd suggest just buying lilac bushes at a local farm/market where you live.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from scrawny This purchase was a big waste of money for such a teeny tiny plant.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A little plant with a lot of heart. I bought this lilac last year and it has really struggled. I was surprised to see that it survived our very mild winter because it was having such a hard time. It did get a few tiny blossoms this spring but very little growth. It is still less than a foot tall and fragile. It didn't seem to like being situated in a sunny location on the east facing side of my house (morning and afternoon sun only) so I moved it to a shadier spot and it is beginning to do better. It is still tiny but I'm beginning to have some optimism for it.
