Sow in full sun after danger of frost, or in late summer 12 weeks before ground freezes. Sow seeds evenly and thinly and cover with 1/4" of fine soil. Firm lightly; keep evenly moist.
How to Grow
Seedlings emerge in 10-21 days. Ornamental grasses are low-maintenance once established. Just trim them back periodically to about 4" above the soil level. Also trim flower stalks if they fall over. For ornamental grasses that stay green year-round, just remove dead foliage as opposed to cutting the plants back.
Use ornamental grasses for borders, edgings, for mass plantings and background plantings. Ornamental grasses make great groundcovers and are often used in dried flower arrangements. You can also use them in containers.
