How to Sow Lobelia (Lobelia erinus)
Start indoors in a warm, well-lighted area about 8-12 weeks before outdoor planting time. Sow seeds very shallowly in seed-starting formula. Keep moist. Seedlings emerge in about 20 days at 65-75 F. Transplant to individual containers when seedlings have at least 2 pairs of leaves. Before transfer to the garden, accustom to outdoor conditions by moving to a sheltered area outside for a week. Seeds may also be direct sown outside in fine soil after danger of frost.
