How to Sow
Start indoors about 8-10 weeks before last frost in a warm, sunny area. Sow seeds 1/4" deep in seed starting formula. Keep moist.
How to Grow
Seedlings emerge in 14-28 days at 70-80°F. Transplant to individual containers when seedlings have at least 2 pairs of leaves. Set plants 12" apart in a sunny, well-drained location with average soil in spring after danger of frost.
Harvesting
Lavender leaves and flowers are valued for their fragrance. Use them fresh or dried to make a soothing tea; add the dried parts to potpurris. Lavenders are excellent plants for a border, container, or rock garden; they also make a great low hedge.
