Sow outdoors in a cold frame or protected seedbed in early summer. Sow seeds thinly and cover with 1/4" of fine soil. Keep evenly moist.
How to Grow
Seedlings emerge in 12-21 days. Transplant seedlings about 12" apart when 3-4" high. These plants prefer a well-drained, moist soil enriched with plenty of organic matter. They do best in full sun, and may need staking in exposed locations.
Hollyhocks provide dramatic screening when planted along a fence or wall. They are also excellent plants for the back of the border. Hollyhocks always make a statement planted as a garden accent.
