Huge double flowered form of black-eyed-susan.

Rich, golden yellow flowers, 3 ½" across, with large, black centers, are produced in profusion on long, sturdy 3 ft high stems. Blooms the first season from early sowing. Grow as an annual cut flower, or integrate with mixed perennial borders. Hardy to Zone 4. GARDEN HINTS: In mild climates, seeds may be started outdoors any time of the year.

How to Sow Gloriosa Daisy

Start indoors in a warm, well-lighted area about 10 weeks before outdoor planting time. Sow seed 1/8" deep in seed-starting formula. Keep moist. Seedlings emerge in about 21 days at 70-75 F. Transplant to larger containers when seedlings have at least 2 pairs of leaves. Before transfer to garden, accustom to outdoor conditions by moving to a sheltered area outside for a week. In mild climates, seeds may be started outdoors any time of the year.
