Incredible! Before you know it, this vigorous small (24" tall) plant is completely covered with radiant white double 3" flowers. This lovely new coneflower features a dense dome ringed with broad chaste white petals. Great as cut flowers, fresh or dried.
Sow echinacea seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before outdoor planting date. Sow seeds 1/8" deep in seed-Starting formula. Cover lightly with 1/4" fine soil. Keep moist at 65-70 F. Seedlings emerge in 10-20 days. Transplant to larger containers when seedlings have at least 2 pairs of true leaves. Before transfer to garden, accustom to outdoor conditions by moving to a sheltered place outside for a week.
How to Grow Echinacea
Plant echinacea plants outdoors after danger of heavy frost. Space 1.5' apart. Site in average dry to medium-moist soil, in full sun to light shade. Deadhead to encourage reblooming. Water plants regularly and leave undisturbed until established. Cut back spent flowers in late autumn.
Harvest when blooms are open. Cones can be cut to dry for dried arrangements.
